Yoga, Pilates

BANNIE - Yoga, Pilates, Barre
Bannie is the co-owner of Fort Green and teaches teaches Yoga, Mat Pilates and Barre. Bannie prides herself on ensuring her classes are accessible and an enjoyable and uplifting experience for her students. Bannie believes a movement practice is the ultimate way to cultivate physical strength and mental calmness and space.
Bannie’s classes synchronise the breath and movement through dynamic, flowing sequences. Expect an energising and balanced class sprinkled with Bannie’s supportive and light-hearted nature (and some great tunes!).
KELVIN- Yoga
Since Kelvin discovered yoga over a decade ago, his curiosity and hunger for the ancient practice inspired him to embark his teacher training journey. Kelvin is fascinated by the connection of breath to the body and mind. To him, yoga symbolises connection and togetherness. Kelvin has trained with both local and international instructors, which have inspired his teachings and enabled him to explore many of the different facets of the practice.
Whilst a gifted teacher, Kelvin believes that he is “forever a student” and his classes are detailed, inclusive and filled with laughter.

CHRISTY- Yoga
A local to the west coast of Canada, Christy has a passion for health and studied Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine for 4 years. It was during her studies that Christy started practicing Ashtanga to such a degree that her passion for teaching surfaced.
Christy's classes offer ways of achieving balanced strength and mobility to improve physical performance, thus leading to better physical and mental health. Yoga to Christy is about freedom for the body and mind with the opportunity for self-reflection and continued growth. Christy is also a qualified counsellor and reiki practitioner.
KELLY- Yoga, Barre, Pilates
Kelly has been practicing yoga for almost a decade and identifies the practice as a dance which weaves the breath, movement and stillness whilst still creating space for intention.
Kelly's classes are a beautiful combination of breath work and embodied/ fluid movement. There are also plenty of opportunities to challenge your physical practice and progress under Kelly's guidance.
"I believe that yoga is for everyone and I intend to leave space for you within the practice to create a sense of flow or a greater sense of presence throughout the class."
ISABELLE- Yoga, Barre, Pilates
Isabelle’s yoga classes are a moving meditation. With a strong emphasis on breath awareness, her sequences are filled with intention and purpose.
As a professional contemporary dancer, she enjoys incorporating her knowledge of somatic practices into her classes and values a functional approach to teaching.
Her classes are nurturing and aim to create balance within the body. For Isabelle, yoga is a continuous practice that invites introspection and play.
KAYTLIN- Yoga, Pilates, Barre
Kaytlin’s philosophy stems on the basis of listening to the body and moving from a supporting and loving place. She believes movement is deeply interconnected with the mind.
Trained internationally and throughout Australia in Pilates, Yoga and Barre, movement has been a key practice for the rehabilitation of injuries for Kaytlin.
She offers a strong, dynamic, well-rounded class in all modalities, and enjoys not taking things too seriously.
JILL- Yoga
Jill has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. Her background in gymnastics and training with Power Living Yoga have influenced her alignment-based classes. She believes a strong, smart and safe asana foundation is key to discovering a deeper understanding of the body, mind and self. She encourages students to take a balanced and holistic approach to yoga, both on and off the mat.
Whether you’re coming to the studio to work hard or to slow things down and restore, Jill supports each individual on their journey towards a more therapeutic and joyful yoga practice.
GEORGIA- Yoga
Georgia has been practising Iyengar Yoga since 2007. Her classes focus on gentle alignment and aim to leave her students feeling more mobile, happy and lighter - physically and mentally.
Georgia is passionate about all things pregnancy and birth and is a Birth & Postpartum Support Doula, trained with Rhea Dempsey. She is passionate about active, positive and conscious birth and supporting pregnant women through the amazing transformation that parenthood brings forth. In her pre/postnatal classes, she encourages mamas to feel empowered through knowledge and understanding of the birth process and postpartum phase. Her own experience of actively birthing her 2 children demonstrated to her what an incredible tool the breath & yoga postures are for the birthing woman.
AMELIA- Yoga
From dance to martial arts, Amelia has practiced multiple movement modalities which eventually led her to Yoga. A decade later & Amelia is still completely fascinated by yoga asana, philosophy, and meditation as a therapeutic, felt experience. Holding space for a deeper sense of awareness is Amelia’s intention, as well as connecting breath, mind & body as a vehicle to return to self.
You can expect an embodied, dynamic, and playful practice, encouraging intuitive movement and exploration through asana, which is always inclusive and welcoming to all.
SASKIA- Yoga, Barre, Pilates
Saskia has completed over 600 hours of training across yoga disciplines including yoga therapy, breath work and Mat pilates.
Saskia’s intention is to show that yoga can be made accessible to everyone; “yes, we all have limitations, but I truly believe limitations are where growth happens”
Inclusivity and equality are core values of Saskia’s and she strives for everyone in her classes to feel ‘seen’ regardless of ability, age, gender, shape or background.
SIOBHAN- Barre, Pilates
Siobhan fell in love with practicing Barre and Pilates after experiencing and noticing the incredible improvements within her own body. Soon after, her training was complete and Siobhan thrives on helping her students feel good and empowered through their movement practice.
Siobhan’s classes focus on alignment and strength and encourages her students to move out of the head space and into their body in a “feel good” and fun environment.
LIZZIE- Yoga
Lizzie practices yoga to move out of the head space and into the heart space. With the strong believe that Yoga is for everyone, Lizzie encourages people of all experiences to join in and offers variations and options so all students can customise their practice.
Lizzie’s students can expect to feel welcomed and grounded in each class. Students will be encouraged to move mindfully with breath, and to find strength in the body within the poses.
YAHNA- Yoga
Starting dance at the rare age of 3, Yahna has studied the female body for decades. She believes that yoga, like dance, is a creative outlet and an embodied experience where one can lose themselves in the flow of movement.
Yahna is a Mother and the founder of Radiant Birth- A three-part immersion for the Mother to be. Yahna uses her deep knowledge of the birth space to guide and empower in her prenatal and postnatal classes.
Her classes are dynamic and creative but balance gentleness and softness.
CHELSEA- Barre, Pilates
Chelsea wants her students to experience joy and freedom in her classes and is constantly seeking opportunities to move creatively and intelligently.
She has studied a range of Pilates and Barre methodologies and draws upon an extensive background in dance and somatic methods to increase body awareness and movement efficiency.
Her classes are dynamic; shifting between moments of alignment and intuitive movement to develop both mobility and strength.
Chelsea aims for you to leave class feeling lighter, more grounded and spacious.
JULIA- Yoga
Julia began practising yoga as an aid for reducing stress and anxiety. Through these explorations, she felt compelled to delve deeper; to find more of the equilibrated state of being she experienced, by inviting yogic practices and teachings into her daily life. Julia’s teaching is nurturing and deliberate. She loves to weave mindfulness, body awareness, yoga philosophy and energetic focuses into her classes. Physical movement and poses are supported by breath and intention to enable students to remain present and work towards a balanced and united mind and body.
ROSE- Ballet
Rose has trained in ballet since the age of 4 and is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, as well as the Progressing Ballet Technique program which consists of Pilates inspired exercises for dancers of all ages and levels. Rose teachers our Ballet Tone and adult Beginner Ballet Course, both of which are open to beginners and which develop awareness and alignment of basic ballet technique, whilst providing a fun workout.
STEPH- Barre, Pilates
Stephanie is a Barre, Pilates, Reformer and dance teacher, finding teaching after sustaining a dance injury in 2017 and using Yoga and Pilates as rehabilitation. Stephanie is also a performer, having just finished up on the national tour of the musical Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - her theatre background means her classes are super fun with big energy!
Georgia- Yoga
Georgia is a trained dancer and actress and has been teaching yoga for over five years. Her aim is to empower you to build strength without struggle and free-up your physical and energetic body. Her classes have a nurturing, light-hearted atmosphere and combine healthy alignment with intuitive movement. Georgia teaches Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, and Yin.
SIAN- Barre, Pilates, Yoga
Sian teachers barre, pilates and yoga. Her classes create a safe and nurturing environment for students to build strength through movement, and to develop a high level of confidence and self esteem in exploring their relationship between their mental and physical bodies.
SIAN- Yoga
A Chicago import and enthusiastic traveller, Sarah found her love of yoga in Melbourne and finds endless inspiration in the sense of community here. She brings passion, encouragement, thoughtfulness and lots of smiles to her teaching. Her classes are fluid, relatable and supportive, linking breathe, movement and a relatable intention together. Show up exactly as you are, don't take yourself too seriously, and move in a way that feels good for you... these are only 'requirements' for Sarah's classes!
